SHOOT THE FILM is a darkly funny, character-driven drama about fathers, sons, artistic ambition, and the cost of chasing a dream.
Two middle-aged filmmaker brothers arrive at their father's Victorian home seeking the final investment needed to finance an independent feature film. Their father, a former stage actor with exacting standards, refuses to risk his life savings on a screenplay he believes is unfinished. As old family wounds surface, a Korean businessman arrives seeking repayment of a substantial loan the brothers secretly borrowed against the assumption their father would say yes.
Set almost entirely inside a grand Victorian house, the film explores family expectations, artistic integrity, aging, disappointment, the project combines sharp dialogue, emotional tension, and memorable characters.
"Think Arthur Miller meets Woody Allen: a darkly comic family drama about artists, fathers and sons and the dangerous pursuit of greatness."
