Casting for a full production of “STORMÉ.” This two-act dramatic play with music depicts the life and times of LGBTQ+ Icon Stormé DeLarverie. The show takes us on a journey from her upbringing in New Orleans as a child of mixed race to singing with big bands in Chicago (as Stormy Dale) to falling in love with a chorus line dancer named Diana to taking up a Harlem residency as emcee and male impersonator at the Jewel Box Revue. Stormé is a revered historic figure of the infamous 1969 Stonewall Rebellion. The play is peppered with songs (jazz standards and original music) to reflect Stormé’s artistic journey. Show running time is 2 hours with a 15 minute intermission.
