A young woman born into conformity, in a lineage of Blacksmiths, her future was decided for her. Instead of rebelling, she found a way to individualize herself with art. She seeks a companion who can understand her, a man who can grant her security. However, finding such a man in an economically draining time, is all but hopeless. Out of desperation, she takes a gamble by agreeing to be married to Beuto, a peasant that she hardly knows.
