Mid 20s to mid 30s. Clemence is Mary's husband; he is a reserved woodsman who doesn't feel the need to socialize with anyone outside his marriage. The opposite of Mary, he wants little to do with Pilot and wants her out of their house. Pilot becomes a point of contention between the couple, as Clemence finds her to be distracting to Mary. Clemence also senses a sinister, otherworldly energy surrounding Pilot and has a bad feeling.
