Mariana was Angelo's fiance before the ship that was carrying her dowry sank and he called the whole thing off. Isabel is going to get out of having sex with Angelo by tricking him into believing he's having sex with Isabel when he's really going to be with Mariana, which makes it all OK. I guess.
