Mid 20s to early 30s. Adult Josephine is the most unsettling presence in the film. She does not speak, she does not acknowledge the world around her, and she is never fully explained. She appears as a silent, dark figure, striking and slightly unnerving, and is seen wearing a wedding dress. An actor who is comfortable with stillness and can hold a presence on screen without dialogue. Must be able to convincingly appear competent at the piano. This role will be cast in consideration of physical continuity with the actress playing the teenage version of the same character. Willingness to wear colored contact lenses is a plus.
