Carol is actively mourning the fresh loss of her sister, but she brings a loud, slightly overbearing, and emotionally messy energy to the space. Dressed in sweats and gaudy sunglasses, she means well but gives long, tight, uncomfortable hugs and relies heavily on the brothers to handle the grim logistics of clearing out the hoarded apartment. We need an actor who can balance genuine, tearful grief with a slightly out-of-touch, burdensome presence that deeply grates on Steve's nerves.
