She doesn't just want her money back — she wants to give Ahmed a taste of his own medicine. She devises a plan to screw him right back, but when Ahmed catches on, the conflict escalates fast, and Lois's entitlement begins to blur her judgment, pulling her into a more vulnerable position than she realizes. On the surface, Lois is a "Karen": reactive, demanding, certain she's been wronged. But the script asks the audience to see past the archetype. Never married, no children, she's powered through life on her own resolve, and the world hasn't been kind in return. That history has hardened her: if the world won't extend her grace, she figures she owes it none either. Her righteousness is braided with entitlement, and when wronged, she turns manipulative and unwilling to let anything go
