Raul is a Latin American wholesale mechanic. He works exclusively for used car dealers rather than walk-in customers. He owns his own shop and runs it solo. He's sharp, reliable, and content in a life most people would call mundane: long workweeks, a couple of beers on Saturday afternoons while he wrenches, bachata playing loud through the shop speakers. He's a little shy socially and would rather be under a hood than in a conversation, which suits him fine. Raul is loyal to his customers, that's what he considers honesty which he mostly is honest. But if a small trick presents itself and there's a dime to be made, he'll take it without losing sleep. Ahmed has been bringing him cars for years, and when Ahmed partners with Ali to open the dealership, Raul becomes their go-to mechanic. He understands the real arrangement, though: Ahmed is the one driving the business and feeding him work, while Ali sits in the background. So when loyalties get tested, Raul is with Ahmed.
