He is the type to pretend everything is okay even when he knows it’s not, and just wants everyone to get along. Misses his wife deeply, and sees her in both of his children, which is why he wants them to get along desperately. Feels responsible for the divide between his children, and understands both of their sides. Has always tried to remain humble despite his lucrative career. Also guilty of taking some risks and cutting some corners in his business, but not like Mitch. Turned the other cheek when Mitch wanted to use risky treatments because he also desperately wanted to save his wife, and then when they couldn't, make peace with her death and avenge her in some way. Always tried to give his children everything so that they wouldn’t have to struggle in life, which he regrets.
