The Mother is one of the most influential figures in the Unnamed Boy's life. Following the death of her husband, she dedicates herself to providing opportunities and stability for her son, sacrificing much of her own happiness in the process. While her intentions are rooted in love, her fear of seeing her son struggle often manifests as pressure, criticism, and emotional intensity. She desperately wants him to succeed and be happy, but her inability to communicate those desires healthily creates distance between them. Throughout the film, the Mother serves as both a source of comfort and a source of pressure.
