Miguel / Adrián’s birth mother. After years of searching for her stolen son, Alma finds the room where he has been kept and tries to reach him from the other side of the door. Terrified, desperate, and full of love, she must convince a child who does not remember her that she is his real mother before the people holding him arrive. This role is emotionally intense and requires an actor with strong vocal presence, restraint, and vulnerability. Much of Alma’s performance is heard through a closed door before her final on-camera appearance.
