Character is a little girl. Around 6-8 years old. White or mixed white. Ella has grown up with Sid (Chris Messina) as the only rather she's ever known. Her mother died when she was an infant. She knows that Sid is not her biological father but isn't clear yet on who her birth tather is until Jack (John Magaro) shows up. Ella quickly feels bonded with Jack and they share a love for art that Sid does not understand. Ella is a budding young artist, soulful, fiercely independent, wise beyond her years. She refuses to wear dresses and can always make Sid laugh in any situation. Ella has an unbelievably strong sense of self, is very comfortable in her own skin, and extremely sensitive to others. Major supporting. Emotional accessibility and ability to improv is a must.
