She isn't malicious but she can't help her nature, she represents a morbid fascination that lives within everyone. She pleads for father's attention with her relentless dinner table chatter, to which she is coldly received. Mother 2 will be cast alongside two other actresses playing the same role but will be interchanged at various points in the film.
