Ramona is Lucas’s beloved grandmother and one of the most important figures in his life. Warm, loving, and nurturing, she helped raise Lucas and shared his love of reading and Shakespeare. She’s a complex woman, with a smoking habit and has an edge to her. Though she appears in Lucas’s memories and later in a surreal sequence, her presence remains deeply felt throughout the story. She represents Lucas’s childhood, his family, and the love he is struggling to let go of.
