MAGGIE — Female, 25–40, ethnicity open.
A younger member of the extended family circle. Maggie is perceptive, self-possessed, and socially intelligent. She notices the tensions and contradictions inside the family without always commenting on them directly.
She should feel contemporary, grounded, and emotionally present rather than theatrical. We are looking for an actor with strong listening skills, naturalistic instincts, and the ability to hold her own in a dense ensemble scene without forcing attention.
Maggie has warmth and humor, but also an independent point of view. The role requires subtle reactions, behavioral detail, and comfort working collaboratively in rehearsal and blocking.
This casting is specifically for the November 6–7 development workshop, not the feature production. Workshop participation does not guarantee a role in the feature, although actors may be considered separately when formal feature casting begins.
