Sully is the wild card. He has too much energy stuffed into oversized hand-me-downs. He’s goofy, loud, and endlessly distracting, the kind of kid who screams just to prove he can. Sully’s chaos forces Elaine (his mother) to react constantly, pulling her further from control, but he just wants to be seen and cared for. He embodies both the absurd comedy and the aching vulnerability of childhood.
