'The Glorious Death of Comrade What's His Name'

Seeking comedic actor- singers for "The Glorious Death of Comrade What's His Name," a new musical comedy created by an award winning BMI musical workshop team based on the Stalin era farce "The Suicide" by Nikolai Erdman. The play follows Semyon, an unemployed grumbler during Stalin’s control of the Soviet Union. Believing suicide is his only ticket to fame and glory, Semyon finds himself besieged by a band of misfits hell bent on exploiting his death to spark a rebellion and topple the Communist regime. Chaos ensues as Semyon first embraces and then tries to wriggle free of his new-found status as a hero. Note: Actors should be adept with physical comedy and great singers who will contribute to chorus as well as featured lines.
