The Wilbury Theatre Group 2026-27 Season - Equity Auditions

The Wilbury Theatre Group is holding Equity Principal Auditions (EPA) for multiple productions in their 2026-27 season.

Lunch 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM

APPOINTMENTS:
To schedule an audition appointment, email [email protected] with an available time block of 2 hours on either Friday, July 31 or Saturday, August 1. Please indicate your Equity member status in the email subject line. Video auditions are also accepted - submit headshot, resume, and video link by 11:59 PM ET on August 1, 2026.

The Wilbury Theatre Group's Performance Space

PREPARATION:
Prepare a 1-2 minute monologue of your choice. Equity performers may choose to read from a script with a provided reader. Equity members wishing to read a Side are encouraged to prepare their own. For SEAGULLS auditions, also prepare a short song and provide your own accompaniment (piano and accompanist available). Maximum 5 minutes per performer. Bring headshot and resume stapled together.

Seeking: ALLEY (he/him, Black, mid-20s) - Harlem gang leader, charismatic and quick to anger; BRENDA (she/her, Black, early-mid 20s) - singer, reluctant peacemaker, requires strong vocals; JOEL (he/him/they, White, mid-20s) - drag performer, strong physical comedy and emotional depth; STEPHON (he/him, Black, early 20s) - openly gay, funny presence; AARON (he/him, White, early-mid 20s) - Joel's lover in hospice; TODD (he/him/they, White, mid-30s) - one of Joel's lovers; JOHN (he/him/they, White, mid-late 20s) - meets Joel at bar.

SEAGULLS (Written by Beth Hyland)
Rehearsals: October 26, 2026
Performances: November 19 - December 13, 2026
NOTE: Actors must play instruments while singing. Con plays guitar, Masha plays keys, Simon plays drums or bass and ukulele, Nina plays ukulele or guitar.
Seeking: CON (he/him, early 20s, Any Ethnicity, from Los Angeles) - band frontman, anxious about earning success; MASHA (she/her, early 20s, Any Ethnicity, from San Francisco) - keyboard player, dry-witted, in love with Con; SIMON (he/him, early 20s, Any Ethnicity, from Pittsburgh) - drummer/bassist, warm and goofy; NINA (she/her, early 20s, Any Ethnicity, from Akron) - ukulele/guitar player, intuitive and talented.

GRAND HORIZONS (Written by Bess Wohl)

Performances: January 28 - February 21, 2027
Seeking: BEN FRENCH (he/him, late 30s-40s, Any Ethnicity) - high-strung lawyer, Bill and Nancy's older son; BRIAN FRENCH (he/him, late 30s-40s, Any Ethnicity) - drama teacher, younger son; JESS FRENCH (she/her, late 20s-40s, Any Ethnicity) - Ben's pregnant wife, couples therapist; TOMMY (he/him, 20s-mid 30s, Any Ethnicity) - confident and blunt; CARLA (she/her, mid 50s-70s, Any Ethnicity) - Bill's girlfriend, free spirit. NOTE: Nancy French and Bill French roles already cast.

Seeking: SANDY (he/him, 55-70, Any Ethnicity) - legendary writers' room head; SARAH (she/her, 22-32, Any Ethnicity) - Sandy's assistant; ELEANOR (she/her, 36-46, Any Ethnicity) - only woman writer; ADAM (he/him, 28-38, Any Ethnicity) - carries extended solo monologue; DANNY M1 (he/him, 42-52, Any Ethnicity) - loud and unfiltered; DANNY M2 (he/him, 35-45, Any Ethnicity) - quiet and reserved; JOSH (he/him, 30-40, Any Ethnicity) - earnest newer writer; DAVE (he/him, 35-45, Any Ethnicity) - Sandy's devoted lieutenant; BRIAN (he/him, 22-32, Any Ethnicity) - note-taker; VOICE OF MAX (he/him, voice only, Any Ethnicity).

NOTE: General Equity Principal Auditions for Spring 2027 production of TEETH will be held at date-to-be-announced this fall.
