### Description
NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Kanbar Institute of Film and Television, Undergraduate Division is searching for a full-time Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in Television Studio Production to begin in September 2027.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000. This pay range represents base pay only (for 9 months) and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
Salary, to be negotiated, includes an excellent benefits package.
### Qualifications
Candidates must have a significant, proven track record directing scripted television series. The ideal candidate will focus on teaching production and directing classes, but would also be able to teach other areas of the curriculum such as series writing. Evidence of teaching experience at the university level is preferred, as well as demonstrated experience in a creative/collaborative environment. We are actively seeking applicants who have a commitment to equity-forward teaching practices and who recognize and embrace the ongoing development of a community where everyone is respected and will be able to contribute their unique skills and perspectives.
Duties include teaching 5 courses per year, mentoring undergraduate students, and participating in departmental and/or school-wide committees and events. Ongoing professional work is encouraged and expected.
