Job Responsibilities

Portray assigned characters in the comedy short film “Venting.”

Requirements

Andy – Male Lead, Ages 18–22: Seeking an actor to portray a hardworking, kindhearted, and shy 21-year-old with a quirky personality. Andy struggles with insecurity and fears being judged by others. Despite his hesitation, he agrees to perform a tap dance with his girlfriend, Julie, as he learns to embrace self-expression. Basic dancing skills are required.
Vent Woman – Female Lead, Voiceover Role, Ages 18–40: Seeking an expressive voice performer to portray a loud, outspoken, and gossip-loving downstairs neighbor. Obsessed with telenovelas and neighborhood drama, she frequently eavesdrops through her bathroom vent and becomes fascinated by Andy’s upcoming dance performance. Strong comedic timing and distinctive vocal delivery are important for this role.
Julie – Female Featured Role, Ages 18–22: Seeking an actress to portray a caring, passionate, and confident 21-year-old dancer. Julie encourages her boyfriend, Andy, to step outside his comfort zone and overcome his insecurities. The character is supportive, optimistic, and enthusiastic about performing. Basic dancing skills are required.
Must be based in Tallahassee, Florida, as the production is hiring local talent only.
Must be available for one day of filming.
Ability to portray comedic and emotionally engaging scenes naturally.
