Vicarious is a short film exploring themes of friendship, overcoming abuse, and self-confidence. It tells the story of Cassie, who struggles to leave the memories of an abusive relationship behind as her friends attempt to reach out to her. Just under a year ago, while filming a project she wrote, she experienced abuse on set from her partner. Vicarious will be screened in various local, national, and international film festivals. This film is being made in partial fulfillment of the requirements of Bachelor of Arts, Film and Video Studies program at George Mason University.
