Compensation: $17-$22/hour Type of employment: employee choice. Position Title: Event Staff - Host, Waiter, Bartender, Coat check. Bartenders, servers, hosts, dressing room attendants, registration clerks and reception professionals! Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Providing excellent wait service to ensure satisfaction Preparing tables by setting up linens, polishing silverware and glassware Serving food and beverages in a professional manner with high levels of customer service Setting and cleaning tables and service areas Checking with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems Removing dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen for cleaning Serving food and/or beverages to patrons; prepare and serve specialty dishes at tables as required Stocking service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens Carrying "small bites" and refreshments on hand-held trays Checking dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation Maintaining proper table settings and a tidy dining area Carrying dirty plates/glasses/silverware to kitchen for cleaning with a polished demeanor Light cleaning- vacuuming, rearranging conference rooms, wiping tables and mirrors, sweeping, set-up/breakdown of event space Requirements: -Actors and Models (preferred) -Proven work experience as working for a restaurant group or upscale/luxury venue -Adhere to uniform standards -Attentiveness and patience for customers -Excellent presentation skills -Ability to follow directions -Ability to stand for extended periods of time -Excellent customer service skills -Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment -Active listening and effective communication skills -Team spirit! -Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
