Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster (Indemnity)

We are currently looking for a Indemnity Claims Adjuster to work a Remote position based in New York. The Claims Adjuster is responsible for reviewing cases for multiple jurisdictions and acting as a liaison between employer and the insurance carrier. The Adjuster will deal with a range of insurance claims, determining the validity of a claim and potentially detecting any fraudulent activity. • Responsible for significant work in partnership with our clients • Identify and deliver the right resources, at the right time and in the right place • Use outstanding analytical and reporting tools • Think critically, solve problems, plan and prioritize activities, serve clients, effectively communicate and embrace new challenges to drive your success • Exercise accurate discernment and decision-making to analyze claims exposure, to plan the proper course of action and to appropriately resolve the claim • Interact extensively with various parties involved in the claim process • Handle claims consistent with clients' and corporate policies, procedures and standard methodologies in accordance with any statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements • Document and communicate claim activity timely and efficiently and in a manner which supports the outcome of the claim file • Maintain and update contractor records in the program database • Preparation and filing of all correspondence with contractors • Prepare and maintain various program reports as required Experience: • NYC Workers comp claim adjuster: 2 years (Required) • Indemnity adjuster: 2 years (Required) • Microsoft Excel: 2 years (Preferred) • Microsoft Office: 2 years (Preferred)
