Little Radical Theatrics is casting for its FALL 2026 Community Theater production of Young Frankenstein, a musical comedy by Mel Brooks. Performances: November 19-21, 2026 at the Alexis and Jim Pugh Theater in the Doctor Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Orlando, FL.
Rehearsals begin Monday, September 21st and take place generally Monday-Thursdays 6:30-10:30 PM at LRT Rehearsal Studios, 6100 Lake Ellenore Dr, Orlando, Suite 172 A. The production will work around haunt schedules including HHN, MNSSHP, and Howl O Scream.
AUDITION DETAILS:
Auditions by appointment for performers ages 17+ of all ethnicities, genders, body types, and abilities will be held:
- Wednesday, September 9th, 6:30-9:30 PM
- Thursday, September 10th, 6:30-9:30 PM
Location: LRT Studios, 6100 Lake Ellenore Dr, Suite 172 A, Orlando, FL
Callbacks will be held on September 12th in afternoon time slots at LRT Studios.
PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Prepare 16 bars of a song in the style of the show (comedic musical theatre that shows personality and vocal range). Bring either sheet music or have an instrumental track available on your phone that can connect to a Bluetooth speaker.

ROLES AVAILABLE:
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein - Brilliant brain surgeon and grandson of Victor Frankenstein. Any ethnicity, any gender to present male onstage. Age range 20s-40s. Strong singer and actor required.
The Monster - Frederick's misunderstood creation. Any ethnicity, any gender to present male onstage. Age range 18-50s. Strong actor and singer required.
Inga - Frederick's young assistant. Any ethnicity, female presenting onstage. Age range 18+-30s. Strong singer and actor who moves well. Ability to do or willingness to learn German accent is a plus.
Elizabeth Benning - Frederick's boisterous fiancée. Any ethnicity, female presenting onstage. Strong singer and comedic actor. Age range 20s-40s.
Igor - CAST. An understudy will be cast for this role.
Frau Blücher - Stern housekeeper and former lover of Victor Frankenstein. Any ethnicity, female presenting onstage. Age range 30s-60s. Extremely strong comedic actor and singer. Ability to do or willingness to learn German accent is a plus.
Inspector Hans Kemp - Head of police in Transylvania. Any gender to present male onstage, any ethnicity. Strong comedic actor and singer required.
The Hermit - Lonely, blind town hermit. Any gender, any ethnicity. Strong comedic performer and singer. Age range 20-70. May double in the ensemble.
Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein - The infamous Dr. Frankenstein and Frederick's grandfather. Any gender to present male onstage, any ethnicity. Strong singer with good comedic timing. Age range 25-50. May double in the ensemble.
Ziggy - The village idiot. Any gender to present male onstage, any ethnicity. Strong comedic performer. Ages 17+. Will double in the ensemble.
Village Quartet - Featured singing roles for strong singers comfortable with four-part harmony. Any gender, any ethnicity. Ages 17+.
Ensemble - Performers ages 17-80 to play villagers, gravediggers, medical students, passengers, and mad scientists. All genders, all ethnicities. Roles for strong singers, comedic actors, and/or strong dancers. The ensemble has many featured lines, solos, and opportunities for dancers.

Little Radical Theatrics is a community theater and does not offer pay or housing. However, tips will be collected at performances and divided equally among all performers.
