About Innovate Public Schools Innovate Public Schools is a nonprofit organization focused on improving public schools in the Bay Area and Los Angeles to make sure that all students \- especially low-income students, students of color, and students with disabilities - have access to schools that will prepare them for success in college, careers, and life. The successful candidate should have basic digital skills, including photo and video skills, and be interested in strengthening their communications strategy, traditional media, digital research, analytics, and copywriting skills. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Visual Steward: Implement the various elements of the Innovate style guide across digital and print assets Regional Communications: Drive the communications efforts of the regional team including email and social media campaigns, print graphics, and ongoing program communications as outlined by the Associate Director of Communications in partnership with the Regional Vice President Graphic Design: Using Canva, create compelling visual multimedia content designed to engage Innovate’s target audiences regarding our regional campaigns and programs, including images for social media and blogs, designing flyers, one pagers, infographics and touching up reports Community Management: Represent Innovate online through robust and consistent community management in our brand voice. Metrics and Analytics: Regularly track and report the performance of campaigns including social media content, email and text campaigns, press and media Digital Media: Leverage both quantitative data and insights and qualitative learnings to support the development of Innovate products, organizing campaigns, and messaging. Facilitate the planning, execution, and measurement of paid social media campaigns supporting Innovate’s organizational goals REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS *Proficiency in content development basic graphic design, video and photo editing *Candidates should have a proven track record of planning and creating engaging digital and visual content and campaigns, which may include strong written copy, graphics and images, videos, and other digital content *Knowledge of content management systems (ie: WordPress) to develop and support web properties with proven and demonstrable WordPress skills *Ability to execute projects and work in a fast-paced environment and adapt when project priorities shift or pivot *Collaborative work style and comfort with diversity *Ability to work well with all types of people - from low-income parents to elected officials, school leaders to company executives *Creative, nimble thinking *Ability to adapt to new software and tools *Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to build positive, professional relationships with a diverse team of colleagues.
