The ideal candidate will also have a passion for local ingredients, treated with simplicity and respect, and a genuine desire to provide warm and gracious hospitality. * Must possess poise and precision * 1 – 3 years of experience in a busy NYC NYT 3 – 4 star restaurant as a host or reservationist * Knowledge of Resy and/or OpenTable is highly preferred! * Natural inclination toward warmth and hospitality * Genuine nature, able to comfortably engage in natural dialogue with guests * Ability and willingness to stand for the entire duration of a shift, up to 8 hours * Detailed attention to the cleanliness of the host area and its surrounding environment and the willingness to do what’s necessary to keep it tidy and debris free * Ability to speak clearly and articulately on the telephone, providing information and answering questions for callers, while focusing on etiquette and conveying a sense of calm
